The food is as advertised, good southern country comfort cooking. The waitress was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our meal at Dee's Diner.

Good food. But I was there 3/4 weeks ago and ordered a lunch plate and didn't look to see if any utensils was in there and got to where I was going started to eat didn't have no spoon, fork to eat with and nowhere near anything. So needless to say it got thrown away. But when I reviewed to place the owner contacted me saying she was sorry and the next meal was on them. Me not really the next meal on them cause the first got thrown away.

Had a really nice meal of excellent pot roast with potatoes and carrots plus 2 veg sides of okra and turnip greens with tea and rolls for under $10. No complaints on mine. My friend had tea, rolls, meat loaf, corn and mashed potatoes for the same, all tax included for under $10. He said his meat loaf was hard and dry but veg were good and fresh. Loved his sweet tea but my unsweet tea was very bitter. We started off with one set of silverware so I got mine from a nearby table. The waitress was working hard. I'm not good with names, sorry. I would go back again. Children are welcome and they have a few large tables. It's clean except a little on the floor. The food was hot and fresh a quick. You can have refills on your tea. Parking was close but not right outside the door.

went in at 1 during the week and was able to leave within 20 minutes. The food came out fast and it was good. I got hush puppies and a tea very quickly. The hush puppies were a little overcooked and not very hot. They clearly have been sitting for awhile. I got the Wednesday special which was baby back ribs, collard greens, and yam souffle. The ribs we're fall off the bone but we're covered in way too much sauce. It really detracted from the meat and tasted like it was out of a bottle. The collards and yam souffle were great and I like specifically what they did with the souffle. Overall it was very good but whatever sauce they're using for the ribs just wasn't my cup of tea. I would definitely come back and try something different. Or tell him to lay off on the sauce. Also once my order was taken, I never saw the waitress again. I didn't really need anything but it would have been nice to have someone check in on me.

Driving from Myrtle Beach and found this gem. 4 different meals order and all were fabulous. Had the Bologna as an appetizer. Omg amazing!

Had a piece coconut cake and it was the best I have ever had in a restaurant. Place was very clean and service was awesome nice place to eat. Prices are higher than a few other places I have eaten but food was good.

Very good food, nice atmosphere. Prices very reasonable. Short a cook the day we went. But food made up for the long wait.

Went there twice during the week of a hurricane, once the day of. Both for breakfast. It was good and prices were reasonable! Would go for lunch or dinner!

Was delicious fresh and fast . Had the country fried steak mashed potatoes and green beans. Didn't need any salt or pepper just a fork and knife

I must say it is hard to come by real southern food. This is the best food i had in a while. The people there was so FRIENDLY. They are fast and give you tons of food for the little price you pay. I was coming back to nc from ny and i stopped by to get some lunch. This place is 2 hours from my house and i will take the trip here again to eat thats hiw amazing it was.

I have never once had a bad time at this restaurant. The servers are always working hard to make sure you get what you want at a considerable time! Great job, guys. I recommend going for breakfast, their food is amazing.

I love burgers. They're my favorite food. I'm a simple guy. having lived in Wayne county for 3 years, I should've come here sooner! I just had the BEST burger in my life, right here. I will be back for certain just for this burger! the service was really good too. the fries were decent. but that burger is to die for! Nice tv to watch too.

Well thought they were taking the virus seriously till today. Waitresses were wearing face masks as chin straps girl at register was wearing none. As a food service to the public their blatant disregard for their safety as well as the customer safety is very sad.

This place .....worth going out of the way to get a bite to eat .good cooking and very happy friendly people .nice and clean Building inside and out. I didn't mention the pictures hanging on the walls that are beautiful works which can be purchased.. I really was shocked.

The only real home-cooked food you can get anywhere around here except for at home if you're lucky. All the southern stuff, greens grits gravy meats of every sort 😁

Everything we had was delicious! The omelette was to die for and the mimosas were strong. Service was quick, consistent, and everything we ordered was correct on the first try. Was about a 15 minute walk from the Times Square area.

Great food! Amazing price! Wonderful service! This is a great family restaurant, full of ambiance, kindness and warmth; the food is wonderful and my family and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! This will be a regular stop when we return to Goldsboro!

My first time here. Extremely friendly staff, super fast service. I felt right at home. Daily specials and a great menu. Turkey (baked fresh) and dressing couldn't have been better! Prices very reasonable. I'll definitely be back, cant wait to try breakfast!

Great food great prices and great service

I don't think you'll find friendlier service anywhere else in Goldsboro. The food is really good, and skewes towards homemade diner-style. It is what it is. And I really enjoyed it. They offer daily specials, and those seem to be the best thing to get.

Good home cooked food. We went twice in one week it was so good.

Really liked the food! I got the Tuesday Special Beef Tips on Rice that comes with 2 sides so I had a small salad and green beans. My husband and our friend got a Burger and Fries which they both said was very good. Our waitress was fantastic! Very welcoming, friendly, and attentive! Will go back the next time in NC to visit daughter and family!

The server was rude the hamburger steak was raw and cold in the middle and the fries okra was so burned it tasted like charcoal i would not suggest eating here and no one that worked there was wearing a face mask even though they are required in the state of north carolina i have reported them to the health department for lack of face masks

The food was excellent I had creamed potatoes with butter beans and Salisbury steak smothered in gravy and the gravy was excellent season just so I would recommend this place to anyone or anybody outstanding

Had Breakfast, eggs, sausage, grits, all good, but had a side of tenderloin, don't waste your money on that, tasted freezer burn and way too much breading.

Great place to get some food like grandma used to cook. Grandma is gone but Dee's got the recipes and I love it...

Well, that was the best home cooked breakfast place I have been to in a while. They cooked my medium well fried eggs perfectly , exactly how I like them which is a rarity at most places. Highly recommend Dees diner. They appear to have a great lunch menu also with flounder, shrimp, chipped beef steak and cheese sandwich among other things. Also, the pancakes are not your average thin pancakes, they are like 3/4 inch thick and massive, if you think you need to order an extra pancake, trust me, wait til you finish the first one... 2 cakes are probably too much. You will be swoled up when you leave.
